Consultation on Polling Districts and Polling Places
The basic aim of the Review is to ensure that all Electors have reasonable access to a Polling Station. The Council must ensure that the buildings used have facilities to cater for people with different types of disability. While Polling District boundaries and Polling Places can be changed, Ward, County, Parish and Parliamentary Electoral boundaries cannot be changed through this review process.

     Dog Control Orders
This forum gives people the chance to talk about the possibility of a Dog Control Order being used in Darlington. Darlington Borough Council is considering a Dog Control Order in response to problems reported by the public which have been caused by the activities of dogs and those in charge of them. The Council needs to balance the interests of those in charge of dogs against the interests of those affected by the activities of dogs. To find out more go to www.darlington.gov.uk/dogcontrol The Council wants to hear what you think. You can post your comments and questions here on this forum, or you can give your views by attending a Talking Together event on Wednesday May 13 at the Dolphin Centre from 6pm to 7.30pm. This will give people chance to talk to councillors and council officers about the issues.

     Tees Valley Bus Network Improvement Project
The Tees Valley Bus Network Improvements Project aims to make lasting improvements to the Tees Valley bus network. The scheme covers major bus routes across the boroughs of; Stockton-on-Tees, Middlesbrough, Redcar and Cleveland, Darlington and Hartlepool. The project is to be delivered over a three year period from 2010 to 2012. An application for funding has been made to the Department for Transport and if funding is approved the outline proposals will be developed in to detailed designs.

     The Town Centre Fringe
The Council is seeking the views of the public on what might happen over the next fifteen to twenty years in the area around the town centre. In particular the areas around the railway station, police station, theatre and up to the new college. We call this the “Town Centre Fringe”.
